one story i've been working on (well, for 20 years basically), is about a girl in college and afterwards. i went through 10 pages of ideas for the story and finally got it all down to one plot line.
that was how i used to try to write - just throw down ideas and hope something would happen. but all that happened was that it grew into an unmanageable mess. i did write a couple of excerpts, but never could fit the pieces together to form a plot. so she's been in limbo for 20 years.
anyway, the plot seems to lend itself to a trilogy of stories. i'm going to try to write the second part this month, before nanowrimo evaporates. i might not make it - it's a lot of writing to do, but i'll try.
